Headlamp Wiring Harnesses
These wiring harness are a simple solution to upgrading your headlamp wiring. 12 ga. wire is used for all high current circuits. Multi-Conductor cable is used for parallel runs. Connectors simply plug into your original equipment connector and your upgraded bulbs. The only other connections are at the car battery. Includes separate relays for high and low beams mounted on a relay base designed for mounting inside the engine compartment. Two Lamp harnesses have two relays, and on "Flash" all elements come on. Four Lamp harnesses have three relays, on high beam all four lamps are on and on flash, all four lamps are on. Power Wires are 12 gauge with PVC insulation which meets SAE J1128 and are rated for 80 degrees C. Signal Wires are 16 gauge with PVC insulation which meets SAE J1128 and are rated for 80 degrees C. Far Headlamp - 6 Near headlamp - 1.5 Battery - 1.5 Closest OE Headlamp Plug - 1.5 Most Japanese cars, some Dodge trucks, some Jeeps and a few other manufactures have decided to confuse the whole issue by wiring the headlamps using a switched ground instead of switched power. It seems that each manufacturer does it differently. Except for harnesses we have already designed, we are no longer going to try to second guess wiring schemes and will no longer offer other harnesses for switched ground vehicles.
