The FF1000 is the first of a new generation of Free Form Lamps. Improvements have been made in the generation of the free form reflector as well as the reflectivity of the reflector, which make these lamps nearly as effective as the much larger 3000 and 4000.

Susquehanna Motorsports has developed an adapter plate which facilitates mounting of the FF1000 lens/reflector assembly as a pod lamp.

This lamp is available as a Driving lamp, or a pencil lamps, both in Halogen or HID Xenon. This is the least expensive way to get into HID.

The optics of the 3000 and 4000 are the same. The advantage of the 3000 is the low cost and that the rim has four holes that allow pod mounting without an adapter plate. The disadvantage is that these lamps have been discontinued once and brought back, so their availability is questionable in the future

This approach also allows the use of Cornering and Fog beams, which are not readily available in the Hella setup. Another advantage is that the unit is round and is more easily mounted on a pod made for 200mm lamps.

These lamps are not available in HID. There is no rubber boot included or available.

For a number of years Hella AG has manufactured a limited number of Rallye lamps suitable for direct mounting in a lighting pod. Today, these products are based on the Rallye 4000 Halogen and Gas Discharge technologies -- and until recently have not been available in North America.

Hella US has agreed to import a limited number of these products for sale by Susquehanna MotorSports. These lamps are all based on the Rallye 4000 lens/reflector assembly and include three adjusters, mounting ring and all hardware.

Note that these are built only once a year in Germany for all of the European Rallye teams. A number of excess are built and put on the shelf as spares -- so supplies are limited.

Each lamp comes complete as shown above. The HID Gas Discharge comes with a pre-wired ballast assembly and a pre-wired wiring harness with relay, fuse & switch.

The Halogen Lamp DOES NOT include a bulb.
