Sealed
beam headlamps are designed to
be discarded when the filament
burns out. They are a commodity
and as such, the manufacturers
put only enough money into the lens and reflector to meet the Department of Transportation (DOT) standard.
Our Hella Conversion Headlamps utilize an optical quality tempered quartz lens and a silverized polished aluminum reflector. These features in conjunction with a replaceable bulb give you a package that will provide superbe lighting for the life of your vehicle and beyond.
The replaceable bulb allows you the freedom to easily change wattage, or color, or both and do it seasonally, or even more frequently.
Hella offers Conversion
Headlamps to meet two standards,
the US
Standard, or DOT known as "Vision Plus" and
the ECE standard AKA E-Code,
or European Standard. We feel the
E-code lamps are superior, but since they are
not legal for highway use in the
US, they are offered for competition
and off-road use only.
Sealed beams come in several
