Urethane Mud Flaps and Mud Flap Material

Rally America and NASA require PRORally cars to have Mud Flaps on the rear wheels and ALL driven wheels.   Unless you drive a rear wheel drive Rally Car, you need mud flaps on all corners.   The main reason is to protect spectators from showers of mud and stones.   They also protect your vehicle from the same thing. Used strategically under your vehicle, you can protect vital parts from damaging stone-blast.  

We carry sheet urethane which is suitable for Mud Flaps or for protecting other areas of your vehicle's undercarriage.   Urethane is the material used on World Rally Cars and should last you for several seasons.   The urethane we provide remains flexible in cold weather. The material can be cut with a very sharp box cutter or with metal shears.   To attach it so it won't come off, first PUNCH holes in it for the screws.   You can find punches at the hardware store - usually used to put grommets in canvas. You can't drill this stuff and if you use a knife to cut a hole, it will tear at the rough edges.   After punching holes, use sheet metal or through bolts, but use ½" - ¾" fender washers under the heads to keep them from pulling through the urethane.   Properly attached, you can rip off your fender with these mud flaps!!

The Durometer  reading is 90-A on the Shore scale, 1/8" thick.
